My story
I moved here for the mountains. I stayed for the people.
I'm Josh Jurkovich. I moved to Colorado a couple of years ago for the life it offers: trail races, long rides, summits above 14,000 feet, ski days, golf rounds, and views that never get old. I live in Castle Rock now, and I can't imagine living anywhere else.
Somewhere between my first fourteener and my hundredth conversation with someone thinking about moving here, I noticed the same problem over and over. Picking the right mountain town is hard. Two places that look close on a map can feel completely different to live in, and the details that matter most (drive times, schools, wells, metro district taxes, winter roads) rarely show up on a listing.
So I started North Star Mountain Homes: part local news site, part town guide, and part real estate practice. I write about these towns, I help people buy and sell on the Front Range, and when you're looking in ski country, I connect you with an agent I trust there.

North Star is named for a fixed point you can steer by. Mine is Matthew 6:33: seek first the kingdom of God. It shapes how I treat people and how I run this business.
