Living in Castle Pines
Castle Pines is a young city on I-25, between Lone Tree to the north and Castle Rock to the south. Voters approved it in 2007 and it became a city in 2008. It has roughly doubled in size over the past decade, and the city lists 630 acres of open space, five public parks, and trails that connect the neighborhoods.
Daily life is mostly residential. The original neighborhoods sit on rolling ground west of I-25, and newer planned communities are filling in on both sides of the highway. The city puts itself under 20 minutes from the Denver Tech Center and about 35 minutes from Denver International Airport.
It suits people who commute north into the Denver metro but want trails, open space, and a smaller city. Daniels Park and its bison herd are close by, and so is golf. Water, sewer, and some services come from metro districts, so ask which district serves any home you look at.
