Living in Teton Village
What it's like to live in Teton Village
Teton Village is the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, about 12 miles northwest of Jackson on the Moose-Wilson Road. It is small, with 517 residents in the 2020 census, and it sits close to the south entrance of Grand Teton National Park. Winter is all about the mountain. Summer brings the tram, the gondola, mountain biking, and free Sunday concerts.
Homes here are mostly condos and townhomes around the base, with larger homes in Shooting Star and Teton Pines nearby. Some condos near the Aerial Tram and Bridger Gondola are true ski-in/ski-out, but not all, so it comes down to the exact unit. Engel & Völkers Jackson Hole called Teton Village the condo and townhome hot spot of the first half of 2026, with 38% more sales than a year earlier. I could not verify a Teton Village median price, so ask for recent comps.
Teton Village is one of the few areas in the county where rentals under 31 days are allowed, which is a big reason buyers look here. HOA dues at resort condos can be steep. It is a 20-plus minute drive to town for groceries and services, and the wildfire code applies here too. I'm licensed in Colorado only, so for Teton Village I refer you to a local Wyoming agent I trust and stay with you through the whole move.
